Pale and Interesting

Here's my latest crochet cushion which you may have noticed in my new blog header.

I was inspired by the colours in this Otterburn baby blanket which my Mum gave to me when my first son was born in the 80s.  It is still in fantastic condition and I'm glad I didn't give it away as it hold lots of lovely memories.

I think this is my favourite granny square cushion (so far).

Rushing to finish another which is a gift for a special person - much brighter colours.  Will show you when its finished.

Welcome to my new followers - and all those lovely people who comment on my posts - I love reading what you have to say.

Have a great weekend.

Love, Liz

So pretty and it goes perfectly with the blanket. I still have the broderie anglaise pram set which my Mum bought when I was expecting K 24 years ago. I just can't part with it. The colours in your cushion remind me of ice-cream.

This is such a lovely, delicate colour combo - it also reminds me of Battenburg cake! The marzipan yellow and soft pink!

P.S Loving those teacups in your new header!

Nostalgia plays a bigger part than we realise in some of our crafting choices. Most of my posts on my 'other' blog are based on exactly that. The colours here are lovely.

Very pretty colours. I love your new blog header too.

I've kept the Wee Man's baby blanket too, though my lasting memory of it will be of it covered in baby poo.

So pretty! I need to get around to making some more cushion covers our apartment really lacks them and I love how easy and quick they can be to crochet up.

How pretty your pillow turned out! It says spring but I love how it is inspired from a special heirloom blanket.

Seems like a few of us moms are sentimental, I still have the blanket that my mom knitted for my daughter who is now 30.
Love the pretty cushion cover, and such lovely colours. Your friend is very lucky to be receiving another one :o)
Enjoy the weekend.
