Gold and Green

Isn't it lovely when unexpected gifts come along?

I was given this four piece tea set last week by a friend who had been clearing out her mother's house.

It is vintage Leonard Street pottery - hadn't heard of it before - has anyone?

Beautiful gold pattern which is really bright.  Looks good with my other vintage green and gold cups and saucers which are Imperial Crown China and Grosvenor.

Seems like I've got a bit of a collection going on here!

Love, Liz

Lovely little set Liz ... I haven't heard of Leonard St, but have heard of Burslem Pottery, where it's made.

Lovely present xxx

They're super Liz :o)
Have just been having a look for the manufacturer...it says
"The Leonard Street Pottery wins the prize as the most obscure china manufacturer in the whole of Stoke on Trent, even perhaps all of England."
And that's from an expert!

Not familiar with the maker, the design around the china is very elegant. Wonderful friend who gifted this to you.

They're gorgeous Liz, very elegant and I love that pale minty green very much. They look like they'd be lovely to drink out of too.

Beautiful, I love it! It's hard to find really gorgeous china like that, how wonderful is that delicate gold design against the duck egg green!
Lucky Liz!

What a lovely set, and in some of my favourite colours. I have never heard of the make but it reminds me of a decorated scene plate I have, will have to see what make that is. x
