Unfinished business

Full of good intentions I ventured into the cupboard where I keep my cross stitch supplies to look for a new project.  Right on top of the pile was this - an unfinished cross stitch from a good few years ago!

So, bit of indecision followed - do I ignore it again, or do I just get on with finishing it?

Decided to finish it off - not really that much more to do.

Then I had to hunt for the pattern, which of course was not beside it.  That meant the awful chore (ha ha) of going through all my Cross Country Stitching magazines to find the actual pattern.  Of course I found another (at least) ten projects I would love to start!

But, in the spirit of starting to finish what I start (does that make sense?) - I'm going to boldly soldier on and get this done!

Well, that's the plan .............. for the moment!

Love, Liz

I hope you manage to finish it. I have four or five unfinished designs which I really should tackle but I am so Into my crochet at the moment that it is hard to find time to get to them. xx

Finding a half finished project is like finding an old friend, happy stitching!

Its such a beautiful project it would be a shame not to finish it. I bet it was a great couple of hours flicking through the magazines and patterns.

It's always lethal isn't it coming across an unfinished project and then delving in again with magazines, cuttings, skeins and patterns. A never ending circle! This is a gorgeous pattern though :) Have a lovely weekend x

Hi, just returning the following here.
I like your cute design, definitely worth finishing off. I love the "sampler within the sampler" idea they had.

Hi there! Just popped over from 'Just Cats'. Now following you too.
My cross-stitch/tapestry doesn't look too bad from the front.........you know they say it should be as neat on the back as the front? Well mine isn't lol!

Interested to discover you enjoy the Outlander books. I've just finished, 'Fiery Cross'.
Not sure how many more there are in the series. Am annoyed at not being able to watch the Outlander series on film. Started reading them, borrowed from a friend who, loans them to her neighbour then to me. I have to wit a fair while between books as, her neighbour is a slow reader. My friend is hoping to move up to Skye in the Spring to a Croft with dwelling. Just hope I can finish the series before she moves lol!

Best wishes,

Sandie

So cute! Good decision to finish it off. I haven't done one in years, but I sure do appreciate all the time involved.

It is too pretty not to complete it :) It does take a fair bit of willpower to pick up an unfinished project when there are so many other delicious ones to start! Well done x

If I put anything away, I know I will never finish it, so I only ever have a couple of projects on the go at any one time, and get them finished. My biggest WIP is a Mandela, cost me £150.00 for all the supplies, but it's stitched 1 over 2, which I hate.
