Edinburgh

Met some friends in Edinburgh yesterday.  Had a wonderful time catching up on all their news.

Took some photos, but didn't have much time to do the tourist bit!  I used to work in Edinburgh, so it seems a bit strange taking touristy photos!

These are of the Scott Monument on Princes Street, it is a wonderfully intricate piece of architecture.

Didn't even have time to do any shopping!

Had a wonderful lunch (and a few glasses of wine) in the Dome on George Street - well worth a visit if you are ever in Edinburgh.

Must go back and have a full day shopping and sightseeing soon.

Love, Liz

A little bit of Scottishness on Sunday

Edinburgh is a beautiful city, I've only been a couple of times myself but I'd love to go again at some point, it's bursting with gorgeous buildings! Lovely way to spend a Saturday and sounds like a good time was had! :-)

Liz-

My husband and I were in Europe in 2005 and we spent a few days in Edinburgh. We loved it! We really want to go back some day. It seemed a lot like Chicago, and we felt at home there. And the people were so nice! Beautiful area.
