Got the sewing machine out today! First time a quite a few years! One big problem was that the eye of the needle had shrunk quite considerably in that time! How did that happen :)!!!
It lives in a very 70s quaint wicker basket, but it still works perfectly!
Made some little pin cushions, just for starters. Really love this fabric!
Found some old thread - didn't even realise I had this - think it was from Mum's sewing box. She had her original sewing kit from when she was in the WAAFs - wonder what happened to that!
Keeping the machine out - going to make lots more stuff!
Love your little pin cushions - so sweet. Ive got sewing machine envy as still saving to get me one i can get crafty on, my last cheapy one died a death :o( Scarlett x
Oh I love sewing and every time I sit at the machine thats what I say out loud even if I am all alone.
Hi Liz, I'm so glad you blew the cobwebs of your sewing machine...the little pin cushions are great, love the fabric xx
Sweet little pin cushions in fab fabric. I collect old wooden cotton reels and have a definite aversion to modern plastic ones! x
What lovely little pincushions! Yes, indeed, funny how the eye of the needle seems to get smaller over the years! :) Love Brenda
That really is cute fabric! I love the old wooden spools. :-)
