Sewing Day

Got the sewing machine out today!  First time a quite a few years!  One big problem was that the eye of the needle had shrunk quite considerably in that time!  How did that happen :)!!!


It lives in a very 70s quaint wicker basket, but it still works perfectly!

Made some little pin cushions, just for starters.  Really love this fabric!



Found some old thread - didn't even realise I had this - think it was from Mum's sewing box.  She had her original sewing kit from when she was in the WAAFs - wonder what happened to that!


Keeping the machine out - going to make lots more stuff!

Oh I love sewing and every time I sit at the machine thats what I say out loud even if I am all alone.

Sweet little pin cushions in fab fabric. I collect old wooden cotton reels and have a definite aversion to modern plastic ones! x
