Glorious Florals

I've mentioned before that I used to do a lot of cross stitching - so when I saw this lovely bowl, I just had to purchase it.  This was a few years ago, but I still love it!

It is eight and a half inches square and shows a posy of flowers surrounded by a delicate gold and white pattern.

It is by H & K Tunstall (isn't she a singer? ha, ha).  Not sure when it was produced.

Here's a little cross stitch (made in the 90s)of my own from a pattern by Cross Country Stitching.  I loved that magazine, wonder if it is still in production?

Think today's post has been inspired by RHS Chelsea - hasn't it been amazing to see some of the wonderful plants and flowers?!

Love, Liz

What a gorgeous dish, Liz! I once saw a teaplate in a similar pattern and that was pretty but your dish is much, much prettier :-)

I haven't really tuned in to the Chelsea updates so much this year - really should see what there is on the iPlayer!

What a great match for your own cross-stitch - I've never seen china in that pattern before. I love pansies too.

What a pretty design. I’m a cross stitcher too and I just checked my magazines; I have ten copies of Cross Country Stitching from between 1996 and 2000. It was alway hit and miss as to where I found them, I only did a couple of the projects but I do like looking through them. It’s still going apparently, and has a website with a free heart pattern to download at the moment!
