Wedgwood Wonder

Got a question for you today!

Does anyone know anything about this little plate?

The marks on the back denote Wedgwood, but can't find any information about this pattern online.

Don't even know if it is really Wedgwood!

Thought I'd ask you clever folks, because of all the brilliant information Scarlett got when she blogged about her lovely scarf.

Hope someone out there can help - really curious about this plate.

Love, Liz

I’ve no idea Liz but it does have an art deco look about it - very pretty.

Hi Liz, I sold Wedgwood on eBay and did a little investigation. From what I can remember the 1039 imprint means it was made in October 1939.

Hello Liz, this is not a Joshia Wedgwood mark but Enoch Wedgwood which is a different company. (They were distant cousins)
Here is a link for their backstamps.

I'm sorry I don't know the pattern name, but the registration number (547269) is for 1911, however that doesn't mean the plate was actually manufactured then. I would have though the date is more 1920's myself.
Hope the info helps! It's a pretty plate anyway :o)
Best wishes
