Sweet, or what?

Sweet, or what?

I know - some of you will be finding words for the "or what" part of that question, but I think that this little vintage fawn posy dish is so cute!

Found in a local charity shop at a very reasonable price.  Have you noticed that these figures are becoming really expensive?  I've seen some which have been quite badly chipped, but still the charity shop was looking for a lot of money for them.

It is by Eastgate Pottery.  If you had told me a year ago that I'd buy something like this then I would have thought you were crazy!  But I couldn't leave him there in the charity shop for just anyone to find now, could I?

Have you missed me?
I was in Edinburgh all last week.  I'll tell you about it later.
A BIG welcome to my new followers!

 Love, Liz

Pop over to Flea Market Finds for some other great vintage treats.

I'm the same....now I'm drawn to all sorts of little animal ornaments, especially deer! They are getting harder to find & sometimes cost a bomb too!

Hello Liz,
Thanks for following my blog . I am now your newest follower :-)

I love this cute little guy and I would also have snapped him up pretty quick if I had been at the market!!! I am very partial to vintage china as well as crochet. I'm off to a flea market this morning too.....love doing that!

Have a great Sunday

Too freaking cute! I've had to pass on some lately. Op shops have caught on and are charging $15+ insane. x

The cast of Bambi are a blogger essential - the owls are cross they've been shoved out of the limelight at last! Good find, I think the charity shops know they're popular and are just pricing accordingly.

I'm waiting for when my childhood collection of china horses gets popular again!

Oh! he is such a cutie, definitely no words come to mind for "or what". I know what you mean by being drawn towards this type of thing though, they have sort of grown on me too in the past year, maybe it's because they are increasingly hard to find and we always hanker after what we can't get? These little figures are so sweet and I love the way the paint bleeds into the next color. I agree the prices are ridiculous now as if the thrift stores have figured it out and taken the fun out of it. great find...smiles...Renee

It's funny how things come around. I suppose it means we should keep all our bits and pieces; if we have the space.

I'm the very same when it comes to little plesaures and treasures like this beauty. I can't walk away from them (unless the price is really unreasonable, which thankfully, in charity/second hand shops, it doesn't happen too often).

So lovely and adorable. Enjoy! And thanks for sharing it with us. As for me, I'm into miniature houses, villages and teapots. I cannot get or have enougho of them - much to my hubby's dismay at times.
