You Can Keep the Pink Bathroom!

Found an old magazine - guess the decade ...

Big hair ...  and ... big jewellery ...

Opium perfume ...

Oversized knits ....
Love the caption under the picture (can't even imagine what those words would be)!

It can only be the 80s!  An edition of Good Housekeeping from 1987 - costing £1.

Ladybird books for 85p!

And, best of all ...  pink bathrooms!

Ah, memories ...

Love, Liz

In 1987 I was 11 years old!
Looking OTT in pinkness, but I loved the bathroom! :D

I want that pink bath room - I've got some 80s Laura Ashley mags that are bursting with pelmets and frills and ditsy patterns. Heavan. For a while. Great score with the magazine, hours of fun and I want the packed lunches ladybird book!

The hair, oh and the shoulder pads. What a decade! :)

Can you imagine getting books for 85p these days? The charity shop in my hometown charges nearly double that for a second hand one!

I like pink bathrooms Liz, just not that one!
When I was 15 I worked part-time at a cosmetic counter in a department store. I thought Opium was the bees knees and I used to douse myself with the tester throughout my shift. Now, of course, I hate it.

I was there!
I like the big chunky silver rings the girl has on and part of me would quite like a pink bathroom. If it was all mine and I could turn it into a tart's boudoir!

We had a pink bathroom at home as I was growing up. It's been long gone. I remember the chunky colourful jumpers only too well!

Oh! nostalgia! I was really keen on ultra large jumpers and had a quite a collection. I used to crimp my hair, too, to get it big. When I was a student I lived in a shared house with a peach bathroom, would have preferred pink, of course, it being my favourite colour!

Way too much pink for me. My neighbor had a bathroom with a pink tub, sink and toilet and that was too much. I do like the floor and walls though.

I'm having a good laugh at the pink bathroom. We had one of those when we moved to this house. I had to get rid of that pink tile. I do love pink, but not pink rooms. That's just too much pink for me. I mentioned you over on my blog today. :-) Stop by if you have time.

Aww Liz, I still have a bathroom similar...
The only room untouched in our house...
It is so old fashioned that it seems to have come back in style again.
Haha..
I loved the eighties..

The front cover is incredible - can't imagine anything so casual and unflattering on a front cover of a major magazine nowadays. And as for the geometric knit - wow! Style that says 'I need a wardrobe makeover'...

My poor parents had a pink bathroom when I was living at home - took them years to afford to get rid of it. It was truly raspberry!

Why does that woman on the cover have a windsock on her head?

Oops, I thought I left a message for you, but I guess I didn't. We used to have a pink bathroom like this, when we moved to this house. But no longer. :-) That's too much pink for me.
Be sure to stop by my blog when You have a chance. I mentioned you in my latest post.
