Scotties & Tartan

Happy St Andrew's Day to ane 'an aw!

So, throw another couple of peats turfs on the hearth.
Send the hunter out for the haggis.
Gie the porridge a wee stir wi' a spurtle!

Put an Andy Stewart record on the gramophone.
And pour yoursel' a wee dram o' the uisge beatha (Gaelic for water of life (whisky))!

The aunt's would talk about St. Andrew's day. In Poland they would toss shoes and pour hot wax thru a key hole to see who was to get married. Thanks for this post brought back good memories. Happy St. Andrew's Day to you.
