The vibrant, bright yellow really caught my eye and at 25
pence - well, would you resist?
These photos were taken without the flash, but it is such a
dull day here in Greenock that they don't show it off in its true colours. I think it has been one of those transfer
pieces - can you just see the blue outline beside these stitches.

Liz, that is really pretty. Yes, I would have grabbed it right up if I had been there.
Oh...can't wait to get out to out thrifts again. The 25p price tag gives me almost as much pleasure as the cloth....
so so sweet..:)) My mother know to make this kind of emboidery and she had made some kind of these emboidery many many years ago.. I like it so much..:))

What a delightful, cheerful cloth Liz. I always feel a little sad too when I think of all the hours that someone spent embroidering it only to be cast away by someone who didn't care - glad you found it though, I know it's found a good home now and will be loved :o)

I wouldn't have been able to walk by this one, and at 25p, that's so cheap. I never see doileys at that price here in Australia.

I can just imagine it in the Spring, such a pretty find. I love squirreling these things away ready to be unpacked afresh months later - it'll be a lovely treat for you in the warmer weather.
