For the first one I used traditional pastel shades and edged
it with a creamy white.
I worried a bit about this shades of blue blanket. I was a bit concerned that edging it in white
might be too much of a contrast, but I think it has turned out ok.

These are gorgeous - I love the blues the best :D Lucky babies! I received one as a baby gift many years ago and it was very much treasured :)

Both are lovely of course, but I do prefer the blue; I have just finished a lap blanket using blues and a cream edging - almost identical colours to yours! Mine is a large granny square one though (to be honest I do not like this as much as smaller grannies sewn together).
The blue is lovely, reminds me a little of trad Welsh blankets
