Painted Vintage China Cabinet

I've finished painting my vintage china cabinet.  I used Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and finished it off with Annie Sloan Wax.

What do you think?

I'm very glad I kept the original paper on the inside - thanks for all your advice.

Now for the best bit - choosing which of my vintage china gets to be displayed!

Found some interesting manufacturer's marks before I started painting.

Love, Liz

Fantastic makeover Liz, I'm just painting my latest find too, it's amazing how you can transform old brown furniture with a tin of paint.

Thanx for your kind comment;

never had such really deep black
petunias before. They are really special this year, but hard to take pix of...

It has come up a treat Liz! You've done a marvellous job. The original wallpaper is high-lighted perfectly by the white you used on the cabinet and it's also a great match for the wall behind it. Just lovely. How did you find the Annie Sloan?

Despite a real fondness for wood that's in its original state (so old fashioned, aren't I, liking wood-coloured wood!) I do think your cabinet looks very pretty. Bet you've filled it by now! xxx
