Pink Polka Dots

I decided that two pictures that I had in my guest bathroom were looking a bit tired - they are right next to a window, so the sun (yes, we do get it here in Greenock ... occasionally) had faded them.

Being of a thrifty nature, I found some pink polka dot paper from a roll of gift wrap which was in my cupboard, and two vintage advertising postcards from my stash.

Ten minutes later, I had two bright and cheery pictures!

Wandering through the town half an hour later I walked into Primark and saw these lovely floral hand towels and face cloths.  The background was pink polka dots - perfect!

So, for less than a fiver and ten minutes work, my guest bathroom has a fresh, new look!  Isn't it funny how things just come together out of the blue (or pink, in this case)?!

I love copies of old vintage place advertisements like those. I have a couple of York and Chicago and many more vintage postcards that eventually need to get framed and up onto a wall - eventually!

Lovely pictures and makeover.
I must pop into Primark to have a look at their new collection. Looks very good.

So cute! Very clever of you. Is there any better way to improve things than to surround them with polka dots?

What a lovely idea, I might do that with some vintage craft adverts that I have for my craft room. Thanks for sharing.

The frames look great! Now I want to get to Primark for some of those towels - They are crying out to me to be made into something...

Love those pix and linens. You can use scrapbook paper as background mattes too.

Well done. They look lovely. I still like the old photos though - I hope you didn't throw them away. The fading adds to their charm!
