Pretty Paragon Plate

I found this gorgeous vintage plate in a local charity shop today.

It is a lovely colour and has a very pretty design.  It is by Paragon.

I was intrigued by the back stamp which reads -
By Appointment To
HM the Queen & HM Queen Mary

King George VI came to the throne in 1937 and died in 1952, Queen Mary died in 1953 and our present Queen Elizabeth was crowned in June 1953.  So I presume the plate dates from between 1937 and 1952.

Perfect!

Love, Liz

What a great find Liz. I love the flowers and all the gold embellishment. I can just imagine it piled high with pretty handmade cakes or dainty sandwiches!
