Everything looks better with fairy lights!

I love the way this string of fairy lights just brightens up my kitchen dresser on this dull, driech Scottish Wednesday!

All my favourite vintage china is here, mostly from charity shops.

And you might recognise the arrangement of beautiful white hyacinths.  It's the gift my wee brother in Canada got me at Christmas.  The scent is just lovely.

I sit here and have tea and read all my favourite blogs.

It's one of my favourite spots in the the house.

Fairy lights make everything look better.  Do you agree?

Love, Liz

Dear Liz!
what a joy to come to your lovely blog today when it is bitterly cold here today in New York.
I still love the tea cosy you made for me!
Just got back from a very British lunch at Tea & Sympathy a nice cafe near here. Warm greetings
Elizabeth

Oh, how absolutely lovely. I would sit there, too, for far too much of my day. lol I love to see china cabinets and yours is beautiful. Your poor brother is just as cold as we are today. Hope he has his home fires burning. Cheers from Canada. Deb

Squeek! I did a bowl of mossy hyacinths this year and I loved them :) Your dresser is wonderful and cheery - the lights certainly give it a most positive glow :)

Hello from New York to you Liz. I agree with you about the sparkle fairy lights bring to just about any setting...and wonder why I've not got any in my little apartment. I am going to make a not on my calender for next November.

I've really enjoyed having a look at your recent posts and look forward to visiting again soon. Cheers!
