I'd live here!

I've finished my little cross stitch house.  I love it!  I can just imagine what this house looks like inside - sort of colonial chic - not to cluttered but with beautiful antique furniture.

It was a joy to stitch - couldn't wait to get it finished.  The pattern is from Cross Country Stitching (May/June 1991).

Also finished this little angel, isn't she cute?

Pattern from Cross Country Stitching (December 1993).

While I love stitching little projects, what to do with the finished articles is always problematic for me.  I've enough framed pictures, so don't want to go down that route.  What on earth am I going to do with them?  Any ideas?

Love, Liz

I love your cute little house. I can only imagine the pretties that are hidden behind the front door. Sweet little angel too. Perhaps you could fashion a little quilted wall hanging with sweet fabric thrown into the mix. Or they would both look lovely on little cushions.

I bet they have the most beautiful china and glassware in your lovely horse too. The little angel would make a lovely ornament to put into a Christmas parcel for a friend or relative.

I'd like to live there too! How about cushion covers or cards or covers for notebooks. They are beautiful.

So pretty! I used to do a lot of cross stitch, it was always relaxing and fun! I imagine a quilt with pretty cross stitched squares...maybe as a wall hanging?

Love the house and Angel .
You could make little pillows or a good idea is to set them onto a book for a gift for your stitching notes .

I'd live there too, Liz, but I'm afraid it would look as cluttered as Dove Cottage, my home ;-) xxx

Great job. I used to love cross stitching but now that I am older and have a CAT it has become more difficult so I actually just gave away tons of material, all the colors in thread, wrapped around the cardboard and stored in the plastic slotted holders and tons of patterns. It was hard letting go but I had to do it. No reason to keep it if I can't enjoy doing it. I love your house...adorable.

You'll have to move to a larger house so you have more walls to display your pretty pictures!

Cushions would be nice or lavender bags to hang in your wardrobes. A project bag would also be nice. How about using several as the centre of a block for a quilt. The possibilities are endless.

Hi, I'm a new follower, discovering your blog just recently. I wondered if you might be interested in what Mum and I did with a pile of her homeless embroideries a few years ago - http://stitchingfarmgirl.blogspot.com/2015/02/bags-of-bags.html I also incorporated a couple into a the centre of a quilt block for a block holder in this post https://stitchingfarmgirl.blogspot.com/2016/03/churndashes-galore.html

I'd say you could make a lovely table covering for when you are not using your table joining together or stitching on lots of your lovely designs!

Very cute small finishes! I always love making my smalls into little pillows and then displaying them in a basket or wooden bowl seasonally :) Good luck!
