Summer smalls

Perhaps like me you have lots of little pieces of fabric left over from cross stitch pieces.  I got mine all together and decided to stitch some smalls - just to use up the fabric (and because I'm a thrifty Scot!).

I mostly took bits from patterns I already had.  This little lady is from Happiness Blooms from SubRosa Designs.  I just changed the colour of her dress to something nice and summery.

This tomato pin cushion (on the left) is from Counting is Hard by Luminous Fiber Arts.

I also stitched some small freebies - this one, which I absolutely love is from The Wishing Thorn - go and check this site out, especially if you love samplers.

I found these little beauties on one of my favourite sites - Melisa from Pinker n Punkin Quilting & Stitching.  Melisa has lots of lovely little freebies.

Stitching these small bits and pieces is a great way of using up your leftover fabric and the great thing is that they don't take too long to stitch.

Now I just have to "fully finish" them ... and I have an idea!

Love, Liz
