I've stepped outside my comfort zone of knitting and crochet and made myself a bit of jewellery!
Any regular readers will know that I absolutely love the "Outlander" series of books by Diana Gabaldon, so I decided to make a brooch which would show that.
I wanted it to look old fashioned, but also have a Scottish element. Flawed, but it was my first effort at making a brooch. I'm really pleased with it!

Tiny Wee Stitches
My latest knitting project!
I'd seen baby cards with little mini knitted things on them and wondered how it was done.
Two cocktail sticks topped with beads and some thin wool later I had the answer!
Strangely addictive!

Cosy Knitted Hats
I love these old knitting patterns for little girls' hats.
They look so cosy and warm.
Wonder if anyone still knits these? The patterns are not too difficult, but would children wear them? Of course it is an added bonus that they are in Greenock double knitting!

Colclough Floral China
A lovely friend gave me this gorgeous floral Colclough tea set.
I love the pale shades of blue and pink. What a great friend to think of me!
The pattern number is Colclough 8378.
The weather has been a bit stormy here in Greenock over the last few days, but hopefully things are settling down now. Hope the weather has not been too unkind where you are.

Keele Street Bunnies
Been doing a bit of re-arranging and found a new home for these sweet little bunnies.
They now live on the same shelf as my Keele Street pottery. Aren't they cute?

Our Other National Drink
I love the new tartan Irn Bru bottles. Made by Barr, it's known as Scotland's other national drink!
This tartan is Stewart Royal Modern, but there are different tartans available.
Love how Irn Bru always come up with something a wee bit different in their advertising!
