Its been a while since I joined with the Tuesday tea parties, but its nice to be back.
I found this pretty little white tea set in a local charity shop. Particularly like its simplicity and the lovely shiny glaze.
Made by Bristol China in England, it is very plain, but the cups and saucers have a pretty little edge detail.
I think it looks great in either a vintage or modern setting.
Love, Liz

I like that - pretty & simple - a good find :)
lovely china :) I get all eacited when i find nice china in a charity shop, i think the sales people know me now haha!
More often than not, in my opinion Liz, plain is good. And you're right Liz, they are lovely and shiny.
Such a pretty set. If only they made plain sets like that these days, I would love dinner set like this to use everyday. Lovely and understated.
I am looking forward to seeing the first episode of Call the Midwife, I shall watch it tomorrow.
I nearly bought a set of plain blue tea cups and saucers last week (I might even go back and get them). I love the simplicity. The detail on then is really pretty.
Amazing, how lovely and how very old they are too!
Love the edging to the plates, that really adds something. I think we might have to invest in some random, and somewhat miss matched tea seats, we just have a Japanese set at the moment which is too good to always be used [if that makes sense].
Very elegant and would look lovely with any tablecloth!
They may be a plain colour but the design is so beautiful.Lovely find.
Ooohh yeah I really like these, I love fancy vintage china but these are just beautiful, result!

Lucky find Liz! Your new white tea cups are very romantic and work so well in so many different settings. The detail around the edges is so sweet, and the shine is great too. They really are lovely. Thank you so much for sharing them with us.
Hugs,
Terri
Liz, I just saw your comment on my tea post (Rip Van Winkle tea) and I have to tell you that you made me laugh out loud!
("hope it doesn't make you sleep for a hundred years!").
LOL!!!!!
Hugs,
Terri
although I think I am tired enough that 100 years just might catch me up : )
Plain is elegant. My daughter would love them; she is the artist in the family.
Very pretty tea set, love it. Shall drop on by for an afternoon cuppa xo
